How TLINSY started, part 2: the phone call that changed my plan

This is part 2. Start with part 1: one small business and an unfinished conversation.

"I had no idea that one phone call, almost three years later, was going to change everything." This is what happened next.

A different direction

After college, life had moved in a completely different direction. I joined Grundfos as an intern, and what followed became one of the most important chapters of my career.

During my internship, I got the opportunity to build a Shipment Tracking System from an idea into a live application. That project eventually took me all the way to Denmark, where I was recognised with the Best Student Intern Award.

Later, in May 2025, I received a full-time opportunity at Grundfos. Everything was going well. I was learning. I was growing. And honestly, entrepreneurship had moved somewhere into the background.

The plan looked clear

Then, in 2026, I received another unexpected opportunity. I was approached by a major MNC for a technology role in Bangalore. Coming from an AI and technology background, it felt like the right next step for my career.

I attended the interviews. I got the offer. And in May 2026, I resigned from Grundfos, preparing myself for the next corporate chapter.

The plan looked clear. Until my phone rang.

The call

It was the same client we had worked with back in 2023. The same client for whom we had built the customised ERP system. And the same people with whom we had once discussed the possibility of building something much bigger.

Almost three years later, they came back with one sentence: "The investment is ready. Are you ready to build this together?"

For a moment, I was stuck. On one side was a great MNC opportunity: a stable career, a clear path. On the other side was an opportunity filled with uncertainty. No guarantees. No fixed path. Just the chance to finally build something we had been talking about since college.

I had to make one of the biggest decisions of my life. And I chose to build.

Coming back together

I declined the MNC opportunity. I called the people who had been part of this journey from the beginning. Ajay Suresh came back. One by one, more of our friends came together.

Except this time, we weren't college students trying to freelance between classes. We were coming back with experience, lessons, failures, industry exposure and a much bigger vision.

And that became the beginning of our next chapter: TLINSY, Building Intelligent Systems That Scale.

What TLINSY is today

Today, TLINSY is being built around what started this entire journey in the first place: using technology to solve real business problems. Web applications. Mobile applications. Custom enterprise software. Automation. Digital transformation.

Looking back, I'm glad that the idea never completely disappeared. Sometimes a dream doesn't fail. It simply waits until you're ready for it.

From two students helping a catering business go online in 2020, to building TLINSY today.
